When boys start dating girls they are real apprehensive about what they think they should do, and what they don’t know how to do. They do not know the rules of the dating game and they are not sure if anything they do will make the girl mad or upset at them. Dating girls seems to be very complicated and the boys think that it will take time to understand how girls want to be treated.
There are guidance counselors at school that can help boy’s understand about dating girls. There is more to know than what boys already see and hear from friends but learning from an adult would probably be the best way to get it right. Typically, boys who are dating girls will discuss things with their father, but not this boy. He has done a lot of thinking on his own about dating girls, and unfortunately, has blowing it all out of proportion.
The boy realizes that dating requires a lot of his time, and if he is not willing to put in that time to build a good relationship, then he feels he is not ready to start dating girls. After all, the time he uses for baseball practice will now be used to talk to girls, and he likes that idea, but his playing the game of baseball is pretty important to him.
The one thing he learned from his mother was that whenever he began dating girls, he should know straight off that they should be treated with the utmost respect. Anything type of treatment that was less than that, and the boy who had just begun dating girls, would be having conversations with not only his mother and father, but a conversation or two with father and mother of the girl who were very upset about it, and on very short notice.
As the boy learns from his mistakes, and by noting the errors made by his friends, the idea of dating girls begins to be less frightening. As he develops the artful traits of courting a girl, he knows that dating girls will be fun because every girl seems to be different. The same approach that he uses to date one girl, might not work on another girl. Dating girls seems to be a continual learning experience that will probably keep his mind occupied for many years to come.
