First dates
There are many occasions that happen in peoples lives that they will remember always. They will remember their first kiss, their first driver’s license, and their first dates. First dates are memorable because they probably were very haphazardly done, and made the girl especially clumsy.
While first dates are generally planned for junior proms or a home birthday party for a friend that would include dancing, some first dates occur when people are in daycare. Parents have a unique way of pairing their children up and saying that they are going on first dates while still in diapers.
On first dates, the parents of the adolescents will typically be required to drive them to their location. If first dates are simply to attend a movie, the parents might choose to go shopping and pick them up later. First dates are generally icebreakers that are not centered on great romance and passion, but are more pure minded and awkward. The boy is trying to show a girl in his class that he thinks she is very special.
On first dates, the most that will happen is a hug perhaps when the boy delivers a girl to her front door. With parents around, it is hard to try to steal a first kiss but some boys seem to manage quite nicely on some occasions.
Parents think of their children first dates with a bit of sorrow, because their baby had suddenly grown up and it is hard to think about the time when they will be leaving the nest, which evidently might be just around the corner. When children go on their first dates, it is a reality check for many parents to realize that they need to step up the pace and prepare their child for handling romance in the real world and not in the protective environment that they have on a supervised first date.
Girls are generally thrilled about the opportunity to go on their first dates. They almost immediately start planning on what they will wear, and whether the shoes they are wearing will make them too tall for their date. They contemplate on wearing makeup and quickly realize that their mother would probably scream if she saw the makeup on her face. First dates can be a very emotional time for a girl, and all attempts should be made to ensure that the date goes as planned. It will be a memory that she will carry with her into adulthood, and an experience that she is sure to share with all of her friends.
